Economic Development Fund

West Lothian College is delighted to be partnering with West Lothian Council, Economic Development department offering a range of training programs. With a longstanding commitment to engaging with employers, we deliver tailored, industry-relevant education.

Since 2017 we have successfully worked with a diverse range of employers through the Flexible Workforce Development Fund, following on from the Government announcement to withdraw this provision we are delighted to be able to offer training to West Lothian based employers.

This fund helps to fulfil the continued need for local employers to access funds to support specific training and development needs of West Lothian businesses.

The training is designed to cater to the specific needs of local businesses, ensuring each programme addresses identified skills gaps and workforce requirements.  Accredited training programs will be offered, covering a diverse range of disciplines and industry sectors, focusing on both upskilling existing workforce members to enhance their current roles and reskilling individuals to meet merging demands and technology advancements.

By offering opportunities to employees to gain recognised qualifications will not only fill skills gaps but also empower individuals with the tools and qualifications to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
