Graham Smith
I am Minister of the Church of Scotland at Livingston Old Parish which has the churches of Livingston Village Kirk and St Andrew's Church in Deans. I have been in the parish for the last 12 years, and was previously a publisher of medical, nursing and veterinary medical textbooks.
I am very glad that we have this link with West Lothian College and all of the Chaplaincy Team hope that you will use us as a listening ear when you feel the need to talk about things in life which may be difficult for you.
Diane Stirling
I am a qualified Clinical and Pastoral Counsellor working within the Chaplaincy Team. I have been a Counsellor for six years and specialise in Young People issues as well as Grief and Bereavement, Family and Crisis Counselling. My experience within the community is vast in working with people from various cultures and backgrounds and I understand the problems and constant changes many young people face today. I am also, like yourselves, studying at present and I can relate to the difficulties this can bring.
So if you feel you would benefit from talking to someone with a non-judgemental manner, contact either myself or another member of the Chaplaincy Team.
Eileen Thompson
I am based at the Lanthorn in Dedridge. Our Church is called the Livingston Ecumenical Parish and we operate over most of Livingston new town. I am a minister from the Church of South India which means I have links with Episcopalians, Church of Scotland, Methodists and the United Reformed Church.
Don't hesitate if you would like to contact me for a chat, whether it's about something happy or sad. I've spent some time working in colleges with students of all ages, and know from personal experience some of the issues both younger and more mature students face.
David Gillham
I originally trained as a Salvation Army Officer, serving mainly in England. I was Episcopally ordained in 2000 and consecrated as a Bishop of the Open Episcopal Church in 2006 and am now responsible for the Church's work in Scotland. Until recently, I acted as Padre to the Livingston Royal British Legion and have conducted the town's Remembrance Day Service at the Livingston War Memorial for a number of years. I was also the first ASDA-Walmart chaplain in Scotland, a position I still hold at ASDA Livingston.
If you would like to talk to me about any matter that is troubling you or about the work of the Church, please don't hesitate to contact me.
