The Access and Support Service Leader, Lorna Jenkins, can talk to you about any additional support you may need to help you with your studies. Support for learning is provided on both a drop-in basis and also over a longer period of time where regular sessions are set up for you either on a one-to-one or working within a small group The type of things you can get extra help with are
- study skills
- essay and report writing
- computing skills
- maths / numeracy
- spelling
- grammar and punctuation
- organisation skills
- interpretation skills.
We can also give you equipment which you may find useful such as a dictaphone, laptop or adapted keyboard and we can make special arrangements to help you with assessments or examinations. The College welcomes and supports applications from students with additional learning needs.
If you would like to discuss any of the above issues, or would like to discuss any other aspect of support, ask at the Spectrum Reception desk at the top of the stairs in the Street Building, or phone 01506 418181, and ask for Lorna.
