Smoking, drugs and alcohol
Guidelines regarding smoking at the College.

Smoking is only allowed in the designated shelters. Smoking outwith designated areas will not be tolerated. No smoking is allowed in any of the buildings, entrances to buildings or in the College square.

Cigarette ends discarded inappropriately around the campus cause an unsightly mess and smell.

We ask that you only smoke in the designated shelters for everyone's comfort, health and safety.

The use of illegal drugs on College property is strictly prohibited. The misuse of alcohol and other substances leading to unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and may lead to disciplinary action.

If you wish to seek help with any of the above, you should approach your PDP Lecturer, a Lecturer within your sector, or a member of the Student Support Team, in confidence.

There are also staff from the West Lothian Drug and Alcohol Project in the College at least once a week who can help with cessation, assessment, information and advice, and also counselling. If you would like to speak to someone, please make an appointment at Reception.
