Inclusiveness
The College's stance on inclusiveness.
We want to make all our students feel welcome and comfortable in their learning environment. We believe in treating everyone equally regardless of gender, disability, religion, ethnic origin, nationality or sexual orientation.
The College is committed to preventing any form of harassment or discrimination. If you feel you are being harassed sexually, racially or because of your abilities, report it to your or a member of staff in the 'Hub'. If you wish to deal with the matter yourself we can give you support and advice informally and in confidence. If you wish to make a formal complaint, it will be treated seriously.
The College’s Inclusiveness Policy Statement Suite is available on the College website. You will find a range of Policies and procedures including our Inclusiveness Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy, Disability Inclusiveness Policy, Race Equality Policy. If you do not follow College guidelines you may be subject to the College’s Disciplinary Procedure. Disciplinary action is always a last resort and there are normally several stages in the process which should give you the opportunity to improve. Students are entitled to bring another student, family member, guardian or friend to disciplinary hearings and to appeal against any decision taken. Copies of the Student Disciplinary Procedures are available from the Student Development Centre or a member of staff in the 'Hub'.
