Education into Enterprise
Education into Enterprise (EIE) is a new initiative providing students studying at HNC level or above, with access to work placements specifically aligned to their course of study.
Placements
The placements are within small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) and third sector organisations. Project based where the employer specifies a project brief in line with the student skills and studies. Students are assigned a mentor within the business with continual support from EIE Coordinator and tutors.
Outcomes
Participation in the EiE Project delivers the following benefits to the student:
- Enahnced skills, knowledge & experience
- Increased awareness of industry requirements
- Increased employment opportunities
- Confidence building
- Opportunity to apply academic knowledge into practical skills experience
