The course includes Communication: Practical Skills, Single Phase AC Circuits, Mathematics for Engineering, Electrical Networks and Resonance, Electrical Safety, Fundamentals of Control Systems and Transducers, Electrical Machine Principles, Three Phase Systems, Power Electronics and Electrical Engineering Graded Unit.
The course is assessed through a formal and written examination covering mandatory units, together with a mix of practical laboratory exercises and end of unit assessments.
Individual units can be studied to suit candidates. Cost will be £100 per unit.
Successful candidates may be able to progress to HND Electrical Engineering or Degree courses at other institutions.

At least 2 Highers in Mathematics, Physics or NC Electrical Engineering or Time served electrician with practical/design experience
